Jazz always has a great time at Rover Oaks. She has friends that she loves to play with, and she is always excited when she comes. She has a better social life than me..lol!
The staff is fantastic, responsive and highly skilled. Each of them care about the dogs, and there is enough staff to look after all the dogs safely.
They know how to properly assess dog behaviors and they update with me about how Jazz is doing.
They are very easy to talk to and very friendly. They work hard, and I appreciate their efforts and I always look forward to seeing them. They make managing my life much easier.
The front desk staff answers all of my questions and they are very polite and professional.
The management is superior! Every manager that I have interacted with is professional, and welcoming. I’m confident that Jazz, who is a high energy rescue dog, is well taken care of.

I’ve been taking my dogs to Rover Oaks for about a year now. First dog I took was my Missy who we picked up from the streets but a very well behaved dog at that. She passed her daycare eval with flying colors and the whole process was so easy. She’s had so many great days at day care and being able to see her on video is a huge plus. We recently rescued another dog, Olive. Olive has had a rougher life than Missy for sure and is more difficult behavior wise – but Rover Oaks has taken great care of her and made her a part of their family! I leave my dogs at the care of Rover Oaks employees with a peace of mind. Knowing my dogs will always be well taken care of is a huge relief. They have both been boarded there as well and they always look happy to go back. This is how you can tell your pet is well treated. Thank you Rover Oaks for being great with our dogs. Couldn’t recommend them more!

Charlie, my corgi, absolutely LOVES daycare at Rover Oaks! He gets so excited every time we arrive, and it’s easy to see why. Angel, Julie, and John (the manager of daycare) are amazing—they make sure he has the best time every visit. The fun photo shoots are a great bonus too; I love getting adorable pictures of Charlie in themed costumes! The staff truly goes above and beyond, and it’s comforting to know he’s in such loving and capable hands. Thank you, Rover Oaks, for making Charlie’s days so special!

We had an amazing experience with our trainer, Amanda. When we first adopted/rescued Holly, she was very jumpy, mouthy, and pulled on the leash to no end. The system which we learned with Off Leash K9 and the e-collar revolutionized our relationship with our 50 lb German Shepherd mix. They have a very effective way of training us humans to communicate with our dogs. While I was just looking for a better behaved dog, I ended up with a more confident pet that can actually safely be fully off leash!

We dropped off our dog for two week board and train while we were on vacation. Shout out to the trainer Desi for sending us plenty of photos, videos and daily updates on his progress. We felt reassured that he is doing well. I love that they do the board and train and is staying at trainers house rather than crated somewhere all day and only allowed out for a few hours per day. Our dog seemed very happy and definitely learned a lot We would definitely use Desi again for boarding or continue training refresh in the future

Amanda trained our pup, Mashed Potatoes, for the 2 week board and train and it made such the difference!!!! Not only did it make a difference when we got him home, but he’s continued to maintain good habits and behavior (as long as we do). I was nervous about an e-collar at first, but after feeling it and seeing how well he responds and how he has maintained his training- those nerves were put to rest. I would highly recommend anyone to use them for your dog. We got updates all the time which helped while he was away and it’s been a night and day difference since he returned. This is the first time I have a dog I feel comfortable with off leash knowing he will respond to my commands and it’s from their training program. Would definitely recommend.

Desiree was excellent with our Maggie girl! Maggie is very mischievous and has a lot of energy, but with Desiree and K9 off leash trainings help Maggie now LISTENS to us and is great on the leash. Maggie is so much better! Thank you Desiree and team!

Justin and Desi did an amazing job with our two younger bully mix pups. They go above and beyond, are super patient with the dogs (and us), and care so much about the fur babies. They are super knowledgeable and give great advice. Just a few lessons made a huge difference. Highly recommended.

When we decided to adopt a puppy from BARC, one non-negotiable was getting professional training to give her the very best start in life possible. BIDT is right down the street so we signed Poppy up for Puppy Class (where they would train us ).

Kate was an excellent teacher and very quickly, our little girl was responding to what we all learned. We added Puppy Day School and the amazing trainers took her learning to a new level. With their positive, energetic approach, she gained so much confidence around people and other dogs. By introducing her to so many different situations and stimuli, she has developed into a happy, well balanced five month old. She walks well on a leash, ignores barking dogs we pass and has a host of behaviors we need and love for all of us to be successful in this endeavor. As an added benefit, our training and the resources provided are helping us problem-solve as various situations arise.

Every team member at BIDT has been wonderful. It’s no wonder Poppy adores them all! We are so appreciative of the positive start we’ve been able to give to Poppy thanks to BIDT. Thank you!

Our first dog came here over 6 years ago, and now we have our new puppy enrolled. I’m extremely pleased with the Puppy Day School (PDS) and Group Class at Stephanie’s BIDT that our puppy Bridgette has been attending. Our group class instructor, Valerie, is fantastic and makes training enjoyable and productive.

Their program offers much more than basic training. Starting Bridgette young during the critical socialization period has yielded great results. She benefits from exposure we can’t replicate at home, such as interacting with various trainers, exposure to novel stimuli, and playing with different puppies in a safe, controlled environment.

Combining our home training with BIDT’s comprehensive approach—including PDS, group classes, and the provided homework—has led to remarkable progress. As someone who enjoys training my dogs at home, I can confidently say that BIDT’s resources and expertise have significantly boosted our dog’s confidence. At 4 months old, it’s already been fun seeing her navigate trails at state parks.

I highly recommend BIDT to anyone looking to raise a confident and well-socialized dog.

We have done two different training group classes (Adult Intermediate and Fitpaws)at Believe in Dog and have absolutely loved it as much as our pup. The mental stimulation and chance to build positive relationship with our pup is well worth it! The staff is friendly, informative, and supportive. Lily has been our trainer and she is amazing! Her love for dogs and helping build that connection with their owners is clearly evident and her patience is infectious. We will definitely be looking for more classes as they have a diverse range of classes.

I brought my pup to school here, which I highly recommend, but the experience goes beyond just the training. Stephanie’s boutique is fantastic, offering a wide range of toys that are more than just fun—each one is carefully selected to promote enrichment, interaction, and mental stimulation. Every “toy” serves a specific purpose, and everything I’ve bought has been both beneficial for my dog and enjoyable for her. Even if your pup isn’t enrolled in school there, you can still visit the boutique, where the staff will help you find toys that support corrective behaviors, keeping your dog entertained and engaged at home, while also giving you some peace!

We’ve been working with Michael to integrate our newly adopted dog with our older dog. When we first contacted Michael we were in crisis mode, the dogs were acting aggressively towards each other and we were afraid we wouldnt be able to keep our new dog. We have seen great results in just a matter of weeks. We couldn’t be happier! Both dogs are responding very well to the training and exercises Michael has taught us. It has been a huge relief for us as a family to see the dogs getting along and not having to worry about them fighting. We look forward to continued success and we would recommend Michael to anyone with a dog. He is able to help us humans understand dog behaviour and learn how to make positive changes.

I contacted Michael after my 2 year old husky had bitten myself and someone else, had issues with resource guarding, and exhibiting a lot of unpredictable behaviors. I had also contacted MANY other trainers before deciding that Michael’s methodology and kind/patient approach were the best fit for me and my dog. My dog was a rescue, and when we got in in April it was very obvious that he had aggressive tendencies that my ‘old-tried-and-true’ methods of dog training I’d used for my other 2 dogs just weren’t cutting it for Axel (my husky). I was constantly worried that he would try to bite at me or someone else. I couldn’t ever leave him with anyone else because without knowing his VERY subtle cues of going up the stress ladder towards aggression, then they were likely going to air-bitten at or worse, actually bitten. I was at my wits end when my dog and I started training with Michael because of the stress of the unpredictable aggression coupled with the other very predictable aggressive tendencies he had.

This training is not a ‘quick fix’ and won’t happen over night, but it IS a long term solution! I realized that after a month into my training, I wasn’t seeing the results I had hoped for and that was all for myself to blame. This training will take time on your part as the owner, it will take mindfulness to examine what you’ve always done vs what Michael has taught you to do instead, and it will take patience! The expertise and training that Michael teaches is not just for your dog, it’s for YOU. Intentionally implement what he teaches you and you are sure to see the results! (don’t be lazy like I was the first month!!)

This training has equipped me with the tools, resources, and confidence to continue my dog’s training and better his behavior in the safest, most effective way possible. I was a bit of skeptic when the training first started, but believe me, after putting in the work and utilizing all the resources Michael shared with me, my dog is practically a different dog (and I’m a totally different owner)! My experience, I feel, has been a particularly special journey because of my dog’s unusually stubborn attitude and lack of interest in food as a motivator. On top of aggression, these hurdles are HARD to work around because treats and attitude are what you target to train new behaviors! Michael is an EXPERT at what he does though. After lots of conversations about figuring out what will motivate my dog, Michael helped me find solutions and new methods (while still holding to his methodology) that have actually worked for me and my dog.

This is not a one-size-fits-all training regimen! Michael is capable of working with and finding solutions for you, your environment, and your dog. Every dog has their own uniqueness about them- that’s why you love them so much- and that’s what has blown me away about this process. If you are on the fence about using these training methods, take it from me, they WILL work. Utilize your 24/7 access to Michael (he’s full of all sorts of knowledge, tips, and resources even for the smallest questions you may have!) and I promise, every you penny you spend will be well worth it after you’ve gone through the process and have experienced the transformation for yourself. No doubt, you and your dog will appreciate and respond well to the way Michael teaches you both!

I too, like many other dog owners, read every review about all sorts of trainers and spent countless hours on the phone with training centers. When I first read all of Michael’s reviews, I thought “surely, no one is this good at what they do…” He really is though! I have not had one bad experience through this entire process and will continue to recommended and pass along his contact information to anyone who will take it. Your dog will thank you and you will feel confident, as the owner, in your training and techniques after working with Michael!

I cannot tell you how much this training has changed our life! Michael has been an amazing resource and a wonderful tour guide in understanding why my grandsons dog may have acted out. He has taught my family and our beloved dog so much about patience, triggers, and how to live together successfully. My seven year old Springer spaniel has gone from angry and scared to lovable and obedient. This dog bit my grandsons face requiring medical treatment and I wondered if he could ever be whole again. Through this training both my grandson and our dog are becoming whole again. Much love and appreciation to Michael! I highly encourage all pet owners to take this training regardless of any obstacles you currently have with your fur baby. Michael brings you hope and confidence! Best choice I have ever made!

If you are experiencing behavioral issues with your pup, I cannot recommend Michael enough.

In February 2023, I adopted a 4mo super-mutt rescue. But, within a single day I found she was incredibly anxious about high stimuli environments, a terrible trait for a puppy that had just been brought into a noisy city apartment on a busy intersection.

After some research, I found Michael and explained the situation to him and we began immediate training through communication on an app as well as scheduled puppy zoom sessions.

I had been incredibly stressed about this situation and genuinely feared my sweet pup, who was an angel inside my apartment but terrified of everything beyond the threshold, would never be able to adjust, and my stress was apparent through my communications with Michael. But he always responded with compassionate advice rooted in patience and backed with resources.

Now, after three months of hard, patient work heeding his advice and steps, my sweet girl now faces her new world with a confidence I never thought possible, going from never wanting to be outside, to now actually whining when I’m ready to go back inside! With her anxiety and fearful tendencies subsiding, she’s able to truly let her personality shine through and finally allow herself to really be a dog now! We still have a ton of work to do but the difference over these three months is frankly hard to believe.

Thanks to Michael, my dog will not just tolerate, but actually enjoy the busy city life!

Since working with Michael Curran we have had amazing results with our three-year-old female Doberman Ruby Rose. Soon after rescuing this girl we realized she had not been properly socialized she had a lot of fear and anxiety. separation anxiety and was highly lea reactive, she didn’t even know what a walk was.With the tools Michael gave us along with books & product recommendations and lots of patience and work it has been such a pleasure to see a calmer dog emerge and I don’t have the anxiety taking her on walks like I had. I highly recommend working with Michael because he also helped us understand where our dogs fears and reactions were coming from which is very important. And like I said it does take a lot of patience and daily work but the results are so worth it!

I rescued a 6 year old Boxer named Roxie in Dec. She has leash aggression. I worked previously with 2 trainers and had no positive results. Luckily found Alpha Obedience. Within 2 sessions, Roxie has made great progress thanks to Katie. She is very patient and understanding of Roxie’s issues. She explains in great detail how things should be done to correct her behavior. I finally have hope to be able to take Roxie for a walk in the near future without worrying about her behavior on leash. Thank you.

We are so excited after just one appointment working with Katie! She helped us get our 9-year-old dog (Beagle) to walk on a leash past our driveway. She has been so afraid of leaving our house that she would knock us down pulling to go back inside. This review is 3 years late posting. Katie is such a nice, helpful person. She helped me with some questions I had regarding house training our puppy over the phone before I had even signed him up for any courses. That’s a person who truly cares. Three years later we have an addition in our fur family and we reached out to Katie again to help with training. Our new dog is a very strong golden doodle who we were not able to walk comfortably because of his aggressive pulling. Walks with the dogs became stressful and a dreaded chore. In comes Katie to the rescue. We can now loose leash walk our dogs together and it has turned our walks into a pleasant time outdoors again. Katie knows her stuff when it comes to dog training. We highly recommend her and will be using her again to get our dog comfortable in our pool this summer. She is truly a rock star dog trainer and teaching us to be able to walk the dogs pleasantly together has been truly life changing in the best possible way. Thank you Katie!

My family had high hopes for training our new puppy with Katie from Alpha Obedience Dog Training. We were excited after finding their great reviews online and looked forward to working with them. However, our experience took an unexpected turn.

We contacted Katie in January 2023 and had our first session on 1/23/2023. Although we expected to train our puppy in a park, Katie preferred to train indoors due to the cold weather. This change was acceptable to us.

However, our first session had issues. Katie arrived over 30 minutes late, despite initially stating a 5-minute delay. Furthermore, she brought a young child (a minor) without prior mention. While her contract allowed personnel to enter our home for training, we didn’t anticipate a minor’s involvement, considering our puppy was a small and young miniature poodle. We didn’t express our concerns at the time, wanting to assess the situation further.

In preparation for the second session, I asked Katie to change our training day to Fridays at 12 p.m. She agreed, but the second session brought more delays. Katie was late by over 10 minutes and arrived with the minor again. This inconvenience disrupted our schedule, as we had an appointment afterward. My husband expressed his dissatisfaction with Katie’s tardiness and her bringing the child, highlighting her unprofessionalism and the possible liability associated with involving a minor.

He shared his perspective as a business owner who values clear communication and respecting clients’ time. Katie offered extra training time due to her lateness, but my husband noted that not all clients could accommodate such extensions. He also expressed discomfort with the minor’s involvement due to the puppy’s age and size, as well as our concern for my elderly mother’s health.

Given these issues, my husband proposed terminating the contract and seeking a refund for the remaining sessions. Despite his honest feedback, Katie declined the refund based on her policy. While she wasn’t pleased with his input, he believed in transparent communication and respecting customers’ time. No training occurred that day.

I reached out to Katie later, aiming for a resolution. I indicated our discomfort with the minor’s presence and my mother’s health concerns. Despite our differing views, we agreed to suspend training until Spring 2023, aiming to continue in a park setting when the weather improved.

As time passed, the stress caused us to opt against continuing with Katie’s services. We chose not to resume training in Spring 2023, viewing the financial investment of $850 for six sessions (but only received 1) as a contribution to her company. Although we had wished for success, we recognized that the discrepancies between expectations and reality were insurmountable.

Our experience underscores the importance of clear expectations and communication in business relationships. Sharing our story, we hope others can learn from it, promoting effective interactions and mutual understanding. While these principles might seem evident, our journey with Alpha Obedience Dog Training reinforces their pivotal role.

In conclusion, despite not achieving our desired outcome, we harbor no regrets. Our experience serves as a lesson in aligning expectations to foster better collaboration and prevent misunderstandings. We encourage all to communicate expectations openly when engaging in business relationships, allowing for clearer understanding and successful outcomes.

Puptown is one of the best dog trainers I could ask for. My service dog and I have been working with them for almost two years now and their staff is very nice. They helped me get her ready for school and she now does the “lap” command with me when I get anxious.

My boyfriend and I have a GSD and we bring him here whenever we go for vacation!! They have really affordable rates per overnight.

The trainers Tim and Elliot are extremely experienced with dogs of all types!! We love that they are able to answer all of our questions and are not afraid to let us know where we as owners make mistakes with our dog by encouraging bad behavior or signs of anxiety.

Our favorite thing is that there is someone on the property 24/7!!! So our dog is never alone for too long. It’s hard to find a place with someone that’s on site for the animals if they need care.

We will always bring our dog here!! We love the Puptown team and how they care for our fur baby!!

My puppy, Nugget went to Puptown for puppy training. He is so much better now. He’s still really happy but listens. Even though dachshunds are stubborn, Nugget is super great now!

Puptown, Sheena and staff are bar none the best trainers we’ve worked with. We’ve had two dogs with them and they went from unruly to well trained pups. Our dog loves seeing them whenever she visits, which tells us how much they care about her.

I went to visit this place because I have an aggressive dog that I need boarded. Place is well maintained and was shown to me. They take aggressive dogs and they wanted to meet my dog first. So I brought him the next week and they took him right away from me and didn’t have any issues. SURPRISED ME AND IMPRESSED ME AS WELL!!! He is now booked for 5 days to be boarded. Very nice place, and well worth my 45 minute drive to get there. Tim is great and I can’t wait to go on vacation now that my American Bully will be taken well care of.

I joined Houston DogWorks when my goblin border collie (if you know you know) was 12 weeks. Now at 14 months, we’ve done the Power Puppy Program, General Obedience, and the Advanced Obedience programs. I can confidently say this training has transformed our lives.

I started training at the BEST dog training facility in Texas when my puppy was 8-weeks old. Not only have I found a new hobby and community of dog lovers, the phenomenal obedience training at Houston DogWorks equipped Malakai for life in the real world. Though I love winning obedience competitions and seeing new clients learn each week in group classes, the best part of the training here is that it’s reliable enough to save my dog’s life!

One day a cat darted out from a bush by my doorstep. Malakai sprinted after it with no leash on, straight toward the street and right in front of a car. I am writing this review (and I don’t write many) 1.5 years into training with Houston Dog works and we absolutely love it. We started out with basic obedience training and have progressed to different programs.

My wife and I have realized that consistent training and working with your dog can strengthen your relationship and bond with your pet.

We just finished another great class and as always we are genuinely impressed with the professionalism and level of expertise that Josh, Kennedy and Molly have.

Mike and his team at Stealth K9 are fantastic. My Belgian Malinois Petey came home to me yesterday and I’m floored. I just came home from running errands this morning. I have a husky/ 4wk offleash training. Bella picked up everything fast. I was so impressed with her training. I came in 1x for a refresher for myself (not Bella). Once Mike and the staff helped me with commands I started getting results. The videos only show a fraction of what Stealth K9 capabilities are. I will definitely recommend them. If you think twice you thought wrong. This is the place.

Financially Mike even helped me with finding options that worked with my budget and lifestyle.

My Aussie Mix had an unexpectedly long stay here. The place is clean and nice. Mike was quick to correspond with me in a timely manner. That way I knew how she was doing and when we (kids and I) could visit Maysie. I worked directly with Mike from beginning to end. Very kind, patient and knowledgeable.
