Where do I even start? I initially had no clue how much went into a wedding and all the details. I had an idea of what I wanted but nothing concrete. I connected with Christine and she was the only one who consistently followed up on whether I was interested or not. From that point I knew she would be the right choice. Throughout this process she really brought my vision to life and always offered me multiple options for every vendor as well as multiple pricing options for them which really helped. She was extremely attentive and made me feel completely at ease with everything. I had so many things going on all at once and she consistently reminded me of where we needed to be in order to stay on track. Her portal made every step extremely easy and accessible to see all the details we had already completed and needed to complete. I could write a novel of how amazing her and her team are but I’ll spare the details. Michelle and Ariana were my day of coordinators and they were God sent, even just having them speak Spanish for my family traveling to from Mexico they were perfect. I booked Fervent Designs from Bridal Extravaganza January 2024. What drew me to this company was the knowledge of my venue which was the Museum of Natural Science in Houston, TX. Richandra who is the owner has worked for over 15 years with the museum in multiple capacities. She knew all the rules and regulations so it made planning a breeze. We had a very non traditional wedding and Fervent Designs was able to help facilitate that. Richandra met with us very often to make sure ever detail was planned. This review is long overdue, but we’ve been so busy that life is just now settling down.

We used Fervent Designs for our wedding this past September, and it was a wonderful experience! Rich did one of my groomsman’s weddings in 2018, and I told her then she would be doing mine, too. Even though we booked Fervent Designs 15 months before our wedding, Rich was there monthly, letting us know our timeline and what we needed to do. Rich had a vendor for everything from booking the venue to the caterer, the cake, decorations, and anything else you might need for a wedding. She was very patient with us because, Lord knows, we kept missing deadlines on her calendar. As time got closer and we needed to make last-minute changes, Rich was right there with us, working it out as if it was the plan from the beginning. Finally, we got to our BIG day, and everything went off without a hitch! The entire day flowed beautifully, and if anything went wrong, I still don’t know because Fervent Designs took care of it. The assistant that my wife got, Bee, was also a lifesaver! She was there from the beginning to the end, helping my bride with her dress by lacing it up and making little adjustments so she could enjoy the night. The only constructive criticism I could give is that we would’ve liked to get our pricing for decorations a little sooner than we did. We were able to pull it off and get it taken care of, but once we found out the price, it was a scramble. I will say make sure you ask questions you need the answers to well before you need them. We had so much going on we didn’t bother to ask too many questions, and I believe that’s why decorations sent us scrambling. Nonetheless, I still recommend Fervent Designs to anyone looking for a wedding or event coordinator/planner.

We had an amazing experience with Rich and her entire team at Fervent Designs for our January 2023 wedding at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. I met Rich at the Houston Bridal Expo in January of 2022 and immediately knew I was in good hands. She had experience working with our unique venue and was prepared to help from our first consultation (before we even hired her)! Her meticulous attention to detail was evident in every step of the process, from invitations and vendor recommendations to multiple venue walkthroughs and personalized catering tastings, resulting in a tailor-made bespoke wedding. We had a near disaster when our cake vendor canceled two weeks before the date and Rich skillfully managed to solve the crisis before I even had time to stress! I am so grateful for her ensuring our priorities were the focus – a private first meal, lively celebration, and so many little details that made our wedding feel so unique and special!

I cannot recommend Kelly Balfour highly enough! From start to finish, she demonstrated exceptional professionalism and expertise that truly made our wedding day unforgettable. I got the amazing chance to work with Kelly Balfour for my April 2024 wedding and couldn’t have asked for anything better!!! Our first phone call felt so genuine and comfortable – something that was hard to find ! You would be surprised at how many initial calls I had with other planners that just felt awkward or even fake! Kelly is such a sweetheart and a fun and energetic person, she really helps you feel such at ease throughout the whole process. We selected the 6 week out package with her and she did such a good job of making our dream wedding come together. I was even able to secure some of my vendors through her suggestions and they were all perfect – florals, rentals, etc. Kelly worked so hard to make us the perfect timeline, without in any way making us feel like we HAD to stick to a certain way of doing things. And when the day came – it went super smoothly and she stayed to the very end to make sure everything was accounted for. We met several times to go through details and she also did a site visit with us and designed our floor plan for our backyard wedding. Her ideas made such a difference in our planning as there were many things I didn’t even think of ! All of our vendors loved working with her and our families did as well. She has a lot of quality experience and she knew exactly how to smooth out the little things that require a good eye for detail. We highly recommend Kelly to make your wedding vision come to life !!!

Quite simply put, Kelly is a miracle worker. My fiancé and I were engaged on February 14, 2020 and my wedding was on February 20, 2021. The year we had for planning contained a decade’s worth of unprecedented, historic events, crammed into 12 months, several of which forced sudden sweeping changes to the vision for the wedding. Kelly took it all in stride and just as importantly, helped me hold on to her calm and her confidence each time something shifted. While her experience and knowledge of the industry and the process are priceless in any circumstances, for ours, she was utterly essential. The final week before our wedding, the history-making winter storm (Snowmageddon, to some) hit Texas, taking out power and water across the state, during the critical days for all the final preparations: venue, catering, cake, flowers, everything. Kelly worked tirelessly, coordinating with our vendors to solve whatever problems they faced. She, with the help of her amazing assistant Laney, produced wedding favors (beautiful macarons in our wedding colors, packaged and painstakingly tied up with coordinating ribbon) seemingly out of thin air when we our original supplier had to cancel roughly 48 hours before the wedding, and she worked with the venue to bring in a cute little tasteful portal restroom trailer, complete with flushing toilets, just in case water pressure on site would be a problem. She delivered my perfect fairy tale against all odds, and I can’t possibly be more grateful. I know she can deliver yours too!

We booked Wise Events “month-of” planning services. Per the contract, these services kick-in ~6 weeks before the wedding but Monique consistently checked-in with me throughout the entire planning process. She truly cares about her brides. She remains calm in the mist of the wedding-chaos. She helped ensure our day ran smooth and most importantly— the bride was at peace.
Monique went above and beyond for us by attending our traditional Nigerian wedding which took place 2 days before our American wedding. This speaks to her commitment to her couples and genuine-nature. Since we booked month-of planning, all vendors were confirmed prior to Monique’s services beginning (note: this wasn’t requirement), so we didn’t get to leverage any vendor discounts/vendor relationships that she may have. But Monique is well-connected in Houston and I’m sure she will go the distance to ensure her couples get the best vendor for the best price.

When planning a wedding it can obviously be the most stressful thing ever and I was in need of finding the best wedding event planner that could help me make my intimate dream wedding come to life in only 3 and 1/2 weeks. If you are looking for someone who can make your dream a reality, look no further. I am *certifiably* the pickiest person when it comes to design & floral Piper fielded all of my feedback, never making me feel bad, as I sorted through flowers until I found *the* perfect shade of pink. She didn’t just meet me where I was — in the end she upleveled my vision to the max.

If you are looking for someone who will make you feel cared for throughout the journey, look no further. I was floored by the kindness and care demonstrated by Piper throughout my journey. She reassured me when I struggled to find the right dress or makeup trial. She always ensured I did not settle for anything. Piper brought along Caren to my wedding weekend, and though I had not even met her before, I felt such warmth from her the moment I met her. The two of them made me feel truly so supported, like I could be myself and be vulnerable and have all of those big feelings you have surrounding your special day. It was so above and beyond anything I expected.

I cannot rave about Rexberry enough!!!!!!! They made my wedding DREAMS come true!!!!! I told him I wanted tropical elegance and non traditional wedding design and he nailed it!! Most of the vendors I had for my wedding you meet with and pick everything and do not see them again until their wedding day. I met with David several times and the table mock up he did really gave me a vision before day!! He even let me take home the flowers from the trial. He was so kind and just a joy to work with. I cannot recommend him enough.

Where do I even begin?! It goes without saying that Davis and Sean are the best in Houston for floral and decor, but what was so touching was their attentive service, their genuine encouragement and their dedication to creating magic! My husband and I are still on cloud 9, constantly replaying the details of our wedding day, much of which was set to the most elegant and romantic background compliments of Rexberry Events. I came to David initially with 2 months to spare, a venue cancellation, and low expectations for what we could afford to salvage the day. And, with the clock ticking, David elevated our vision, reassured us that we deserved the best and DELIVERED! Our wedding was impeccable, and we are still receiving compliments from our guests about what they experienced. Stay away from Rexberry. They are no longer at this location but as far as service goes they can’t be trusted. We hired them for our wedding then they no showed for an appointment with no communication which made us feel uncomfortable continuing working with them. We’re still waiting on a refund David promised multiple times he would return to us over 2 months ago. We loved their ideas but were extremely disappointed they essentially lied to us and treated us so poorly. By the looks of other recent reviews we are certainly not the only customer they have neglected.
