Buckle up people cause this one may be a longer one but you will learn something. Our recent rain windstorm here in Houston left me with a branch on top of my 2009 Toyota Tacoma. My insurance company recommended this shop and one other to me on a list. After reading their reviews some good and some bad I chose to go with this locations. The rental place also attached to these guys seemed it would all be convenient and make the process easy.
My expectation after talking to my service guy Carlos was this might be a 2 maybe 3 week process given what needs to be repaired. I received a few texts (3 maybe 4) within the first couple of weeks but after that all went silent and I had to keep calling for updates. I had some issues with the Rental car like a 4year old battery going dead, leaving us stranded in Austin on Friday evening on Father's Day weekend til we were able to get some assistance at Autozone. The rental car had 98k miles on it and lacking on maintenance. The last week I changed cars because I felt uncomfortable in the previous car and the shop kept me in the car for my full amount of time.
While keeping me in that rental for the full amount of time the Body Shop submitted as many supplements as they could get away with boosting my insurance company for more money. On my last day of rental I called the shop to ask if my truck was ready and they said "Oh Yes Sir it was ready yesterday". Well when I arrived it had scratches on the doors, oil spots/drips on the seat fabrics, scratches on almost every plastic surface where work was being performed. Additionally the windshield wipers were put on incorrectly fixed under the hood, plastic cap covers for bolts inside the truck were left on the floor under the seats, and my rear window tint was scratched up and super visible. The truck looked really rushed although it was sitting out front when I got there. Their (The Manager - Mike and Service Agent - Carlos) message to me was sorry we will try and fix what we can but we need your $500 dollar deductible. So an hour later they had resolved the paint scratch issue and the windshield wipers but told me I needed to go get my tint replaced and return to them with a receipt and they would pay. Because of what they did damaging my truck and leaving my MINT older truck in the condition they did should of waived my deductible and sucked up that small lost. Instead this company was after the money plus the deductible and asked me what they could do to make it right. When I told them their response was Hmmmmmm- eyes to the sky. If you believed smiles, hand shakes, cold bottles of water, a few texts and a coffee bar substitutes for good customer service and quality workmanship then this may be the place for you. I have had a few auto body visits in my life and this by far was the worst.

As an update today 07/29/2024 - I am back at the shop having the windshield replaced (Their Choice) because it is leaking/condensation on the inside of the windshield. Another 1hour spent at this place - Time is money every where I have been. Workmanship???

Last Friday, I had the great pleasure of stopping by Santa Anna Body Shop. I met Carlos Valdez and he provided me with an exceptional level of customer service.
Driving on Houston freeways can prove treacherous, especially when you not only have to navigate traffic but also tire remnants bka "road gators." Or, other things that drivers lose on the freeways from unsecured or poorly secured loads. Unfortunately, I came into contact with one of those "road gators" and it messed up my car in the front and ripped some of my lower bumper off. My car is low. The car in front of me hit it first and all I could do was slow down a little.
I went to one place (not a body shop) and they told me to go to junk yard to find the part because the whole thing would have to be replaced. But when I spoke to Carlos he said let me take it over to my guys and see what they could do. I told him I didn't want to file it on my insurance. He agreed that wasn't necessary. I filled out paperwork and he took my car over to his repair guys. After being gone for a while he came back and let me know it was ready. I was SHOCKED!!!
I walked outside and my 2012 Ford Fusion SEL looked like nothing ever happened. I was so happy! I asked him how much I owed him and he said it's on the house. So, I am doing this review as a form of currency and my appreciation.
I told Carlos I felt like hugging him but I didn't know him like that. Lol! We shook hands and called it a day. They not only reattached the lower back bumper but tightened up the front so the grill wouldn't hang low and drag. I am so pleased with their work and level of customer service.
I've done business with them in the past and HIGHLY RECOMMEND Santa Ana to anyone in need of auto body work. It may not be on the house but they will definitely do a GREAT job!!!
My one regret is not having before and after pictures. Thank you Carlos and the staff of Santa Ana Body Shop!!! 5+ stars...

I took my Ram Promaster conversion van to Santa Ana for body repair and they did a great job! It looks brand new. It was a big project for them, but they took care to do the job right and kept me updated all along the way. I would highly recommend Santa Ana.
