An awesome instrument-acquisition! As a left-handed musician, to see left-handed instruments on every wall that were available for purchase was both exciting and gratifying. I’ve been a customer of Jim Duncan’s Southpaw Guitars since 2004 and have never been disappointed. Just visited Jim (owner) and Omar (manager) and made a purchase of four exquisite instruments. The pricing, level of service and professionalism of the staff was exemplary. Well done Jim and Omar!

Beware. Bait and switch. I gave 2 guitars for repair. One guitar had to have electronics reassembled and the other had to have new pickups and pickguard installed. Jim told me that it would be $250 for former and $300 for the latter. When I went to pick to up the guitars, the total came to over $1000.00. I was going to buy amps and guitars but will not go here again. Plus there was no itemized receipt. Never again.

Jim and the crew at Southpaw are the absolute best! I've purchased numerous guitars from Southpaw over the years and every experience has been a total pleasure. They provide a free setup with every purchase, which provides a great value many other shops don't offer. Being left handed is usually a curse, not so at our beloved Southpaw Guitars! Seek them out on Instagram, Jim is great about posting updates when new stock comes in, it's a great follow! The only downside is that they are located in Houston, TX and I live in Minnesota!

If you're a left handed guitarist in Houston you don't know how lucky you are! I had to go down to Texas from Denver and knew I could not be in that state without going to Houston and visiting Southpaw. Truly an amazing place. Such a cool environment with so many left-handed guitars. It's breath-taking for a lefty. The people there are nothing short of amazing. They told me that I was welcome to grab ANY guitar in the store and try it out. So I did! I don't know how many hours I was there, but it was more than a few. They never made me feel anything but welcome. The only difficult part was picking one! I ended up getting a Fender American original 50s Strat. And I got a crazy good deal on it. Thank you guys for such a great experience!!!!! CANNOT RECOMMEND IT ENOUGH!!!
