Recently attended this venue as they hosted our high school reunion. Attendees that purchased VIP tickets were ensured unlimited spirits and food. They ran out of certain alcohol and only had limited food options (not as advertised). And to top it off, I just learned that the promoter Olu and the owner of this establishment basically stole money from our reunion committee members who also played vital roles in the planning of our reunion activities. Bad business!

Elsik graduating class of 2004 reunion was held here. There was supposed to be unlimited food on the drinks except you get a ticket to get your food Which was served outside of the front door from what I hear it’s because their kitchen is roach infested. That’s verified by committee members During their walk-through. And the unlimited drinks you have to keep your own cup and you are limited. You can’t play with people money and I hope this company and the janky promoter are both prosecuted to the fullest extent. Thank you to the people who made this happen and worked very hard to do so out of the kindness of their heart it was not required. I hope this doesn’t ruin our future events because of the actions of others.

So many beers to choose from. Great place to make interesting beer discoveries. The food is also delicious. The pretzels are phenomenal, specially the all dressed ones (not in the menu but still available on demand). Fridays there's usually a live show.

I sent this message to the owner Jay, who hasn't acknowledged his promoter/partner's janky ways. I am representing 1 of 5 other ppl excluding Olu who are a part of the Elsik HS reunion committee. Olu is our classmate who initially offered his services within the committee as a club option for our ticket packages. While the others and myself offered services such as design, decor, t-shirts, souvenirs, park booking, etc. He has been a part of all planning development and each meeting since May 2024. Initially, he was to provide us with deals for Lumen which fell through causing him to suggest your location "The Garden". We created spreadsheets detailing how each ticket would be allocated for different areas within the 2-day weekend reunion event. Fast forward to a week or so before the event, Olu took it upon himself without meeting with the committee to place his card on the Eventbrite account that I created and locked it out to where we could not remove it, ensuring he would receive the payout.
We have the event and weekend activities from November 1-3, 2004.
We had a committee debrief on Thursday at 8 pm to go over the pros, cons, archives, and the payout. The payout discussion was to ensure those committee members who fronted (paid) for items prior to the event (decor, t-shirts, reservations, etc) were compensated fairly.
During the video call (which was recorded) Olu stated that OUR $2750.93 that was collected would not be distributed to the committee after speaking to his "partners". Who told him he had to pay balances that were priority to the club (security, food, alcohol - which is said was $2600 which was not even consumed by the attendees that night and was not previously agreed upon by the committee)
In short, the committee would like you to confirm these allegations and speak to Olu about returning a respectful amount back to the committee. Which we are seeking approximately $1400 or provide a plan.
If not other legal actions including a civil suit and media coverage will commence.
Please let us know what you're thoughts are in this matter.
I'm sure they used our funds to fix up the roach infested kitchen!
Update: 11/13/24 neither party has responded. POOR MANAGEMENT AND OWNERSHIP. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Such a cute spot! It’s really one of those places you just have to go experience. They have food (we did not try) and drinks- we had mimosas and one of their specialty drinks. I’m glad we stopped and hopefully next time we can try the food.
