Punch Line Houston

A middle of the road type place. I don't see this venue working out for long unless they tighten up the ship. Getting in the door could be better streamlined and there's a very disjointed flow once in. Slow drink/food service from servers while there are plenty of other members of staff just standing around doing nothing. The interior layout offers TONS to be desired. A missed opportunity, truly. The bar looks nice, but seems to be forgotten about. Cocktails are pieced together in a very amateurish manner and appropriately overpriced. Most guests seemed to be aware of this very descriptor and ordered drinks in an aluminum can(boring). Major party foul if you ask me! There is an overall sense of "box checking" that permeates in this place. Rather disappointing imo. This is the longest review I've ever written...my popcorn was stale too. Boo.

Menu says “NO PHONES” so if you hope to post your favorite comedian, be warned. Seating is very tight so you may have the opportunity to make new friends. The show was just as good as I expected and I had a great time.

I really liked this place. The drinks were brought quickly, the "pop tarts" were delicious and Mekki Leeper was hilarious. I thought all the staff was really friendly as well. Can't wait to come back.

Visited Punchline Comedy to see the Comedian, Desi Alexander and others. The venue is nice and spacious. I arrived and was seated at the side of the stage, which was great. I'm not a fan of a minimum 2 item purchase. I purchased a spiced watermelon non-alcoholic beverage and it was refreshing. A lot of comedy clubs I've been in don't mind you taking your phone out during the show to take photos or record a little. I personally think it gives the venue and the comics more exposure. I was asked not to take photos or videos.

Finally, Houston gets another comedy club and a good one at that! The setup is great, very modern feel, and service was awesome! The comedians are so funny too! I can’t wait to see who else they bring in. 10/10
