Motherhood Center -Pregnancy Wellness/Education Center and Doula/Nanny Placement Agency

I took a birth class in the Motherhood Center because it had amazing reviews. The space was welcoming and the staff lovely. It was my first pregnancy, so I was desperate for guidance. However, I felt that this class lacked several things among these appropriate factual statistics and information not to mention the actual practice of postures and other things. I felt it covered some information, but a lot of it was not useful or actually clutter for my actual birth. The cost is relatively high for what I felt I got out of it. My husband is a surgeon, and he was with me during the class and felt there was a lot to be desired as well. I felt the nurses at Children's Memorial Hospital were much more knowledgeable and helpful in their directions than the nurse that gave us this class. Anyway, it's a lovely ambiance, just wasn't as useful as I would have liked now that I am looking back and know what birth entails.

With this being my first pregnancy, I have often felt lost. The Motherhood Center is an amazing resource! It brings me peace to know there is a community that is genuinely invested in my and my baby's best interest. My husband and I have now attended one class (newborn care) which was so informative! We will be doing the CPR class next! I have also attended prenatal yoga classes with Leslie and Loretta and prenatal pilates with Karolina and the classes were amazing! Glad to be moving again in a way that's safe for me at this stage in my pregnancy. Highly highly highly recommend checking out the Motherhood Center!

They have been an amazing support in my pregnancy. I love the Pilates & fitness class the coach is the best and you feel great after the workout. Yoga classes are also very nice, empowering and relaxing. All you need to enjoy and feel strong in this beautiful season

Really nice mother-baby yoga class! It was fun to meet other moms and babies, and the workout was nicely tailored to incorporate our babies and meet us at a good level for postpartum moms. I'll definitely go again! The whole staff in the Center were super friendly, too, and their nursing room was very comfortable.

I’ve had multiple massages - prenatal and postnatal - by Iris Salls and they’ve all been great. I even had a labor induction massage with pressure points and I went in to labor less than 12 hours later. I’ve never had a bad experience at The Motherhood Center and highly recommend Iris for massages!
