I hired Polished Makeup and Hair and worked with Sam and Vanessa for my wedding in Aspen in June. Vanessa did hair and makeup for my bridal party and my hair and it was AMAZING! I have curly hair and it’s extremely hard to find someone who can actually work with curly hair. I hired Polish Hair & Makeup for my bridal hair and makeup on November 2023. Polished did an amazing job from day one. They were super easy to work with and did an awesome job communicating in a timely manner any time I had any questions or changes leading up to the event day.
The website portal they use for you to create your contact, make payments and download inspiration pictures is very user friendly (and they actually do look at all those inspiration shots).
The day of the event both the makeup artist and hairstylist arrived on time and were very professional. They were super sweet and made your feel extremely comfortable. I am not a big makeup person and was really looking for a soft bridal glow and my makeup artist (Diane) was the sweetest and she definitely understood and delivered! This was the first time ever I loved my professional makeup 100%.

M salon truly made my day. I was feeling kinda down and wanted to spice my hair up a bit. I called them and they accommodated my time. I was able to meet Grace, and her experience as a stylist made me so comfortable. She is so knowledgeable and was able to tone my hair to perfection. My trim made my hair feel soft and healthy. On July 20th I came to this location to get my hair colored and cut. I met with the stylist about 2-3 weeks before the appointment for a consultation to discuss my specific needs. We agreed on a color and specifically told her how I wanted my hair and she reassured me she could do it and the day of the appointment everything went well up until the haircut. It was a disaster from that point on. She obviously didn’t know how to cut my hair mind you my hair is fine and thin and no other hairdresser I have been to had a problem with my hair they always did an amazing job but this was not the case here. The color was amazing exactly what I wanted but the cut was absolutely awful. The ends were uneven and I had to ask her twice to fix it but it only made it worse and I asked her to stop. The bangs I asked for and was assured she could do she couldn’t do and I was so upset and she told me give it some time to settle and it should be fine it wasn’t. I have given it almost 2 months to settle and hopefully it would work and it doesn’t at all!!!! I have to wear headbands now, I shouldn’t have to!!!!! Now my hair color has started to fade at the roots has only been a month it should not happen this soon!!!!! I have been coloring my hair for years and this has never ever happened my roots usually don’t start to show for several more weeks so obviously this color was not applied correctly or the formula or brand did not stick to my hair!!!! I am absolutely livid very upset and disappointed that I spent $350!!!!!!! It was not worth it at all and now I have to let this disaster grow out some more and save up to fix it!!!!! I should not have to do that at all and I have never had to till now has been a very rough year from losing my mom to being in a horrific car accident!!!!! I chose this salon bc of the amazing reviews boy was I wrong!!!!! I’ll never come back here again or recommend this salon. I have never left a bad review before but this time I had to I had no choice too bad I couldn’t leave 0 stars!!!!!! Hopefully I’ll find someone to help me so I can feel good about myself.

They go above and beyond to treat you with the utmost respect; they have multiple beverages to choose from and you always feel comfortable and welcome. The new space is beautiful, airy, and chic. Christopher is the best in the business. He has been doing my hair for so long and i’ll remain with him until he retires. I have always been so happy every time I leave the salon. Make sure you cancel your appointment 24 hours ahead of time by calling them or you will be charged 50% of the cost of whatever your appointment would have been. I had to cancel my appointment because I had a meeting pop up that I could not get out of and M Salon informed me that my card would be charged $50. I would have been happy to reschedule, but that would also have cost me $50. I will no longer be going to this salon. It’s unfortunate, because I enjoyed my first haircut there. But I cannot support this kind of customer service.
My advice — don’t book your next appointment ahead of time. You never know what will come up that will cost you $50+.

I absolutely love working with Moni! She has been my go-to makeup artist for YEARS now. She’s done everything from simple, natural looks, to photo shoots, to full blown bikini show stage glam for me! She most recently did my make up for my baby shower and maternity shoot and she nailed both of them yet again!

Had the best experience with Sophie and Laura! My hair and make up came out better than I could have ever expected! I have A LOT of hair to work with but Sophie did such an amazing job giving me the hairstyle that I wanted! I even did a last minute hairstyle switch the day of the wedding and it came out so beautiful! Laura did make up and she is so gentle, efficient and very fast! The make up photographed so well and it didn’t feel cakey or uncomfortable at all! Sophie sends great prep instructions for you and your wedding party, and she is super easy to communicate with and is great at working with your schedule. I got my bridal makeup done from Berkha and she did an amazing job with my makeup. The hair done that day by some lady was did a great job. The price paid for the work showed on my face and look. The makeup done by Sonia for my reception was a complete disaster and also my hair done for reception day got undone and curls opened up within an hour( forgot the name of the lady who did my hair for reception day). Felt like it was such a waste of money as this place is pricey i expected great makeup and hair. Not only that but the reception day makeup felt like it was something done at home that i would’ve done myself. Very disappointed.

Fashion Face is a very well known salon in Houston for South Asian brides, and immediately upon booking my makeup artist for my wedding I knew I would like to book them for several reasons – they have vast experiences with heavy dresses, and I’ve only seen amazing makeup compliment the heaviness of the dress and very well done dupatta settings, both which were extremely important to me since I wanted peace of mind knowing the makeup and dupattas would last through the night. I contacted them almost a year in advance for my wedding receptions (both Shaadi and Valima) to make sure they are available, and they delivered incredible results. They were extremely responsive over email and working with my timings for the bookings, though they had not met me or spoken to me on the phone. During the appointments, Berkha did an amazing job on my makeup on both days and I received compliments all night. Different ladies handled my hair and dupatta on each day, and did my hair accordingly to the look I wanted and also in a way to carry the heaviness of the dupatta. Though my dresses were extremely heavy, I felt secure all night and my head carried the weight of the dupattas I wore. Overall, I highly recommend Fashion Face to any bride looking to book makeup and hair for their wedding.

I came from out of state for a family wedding and I was nervous about having someone other than my usual person do my makeup, but when I saw the instagram page for fashion face salon, I WAS SOLD. The communication while I was still in my hometown by this salon was so prompt and professional. I ended up booking three days of makeup back to back.
Sonia the makeup artist did my makeup and was BEYOND AMAZING. For each look I would simply show her what I was wearing and I let her choose the look. i was received sooo many compliments. She used amazing products (that were great quality) and was thorough with her work. She took her time and made sure I was happy each time I left. Even in over 100 degree weather my makeup lasted for over 10 hours.

I hired fashion Face Beauty to do my makeup for my nikkah and reception. Berkha did a good job, but I wasn’t too crazy about the person (nusrat) who did my hair. I didn’t want to get my hair done by them in the first place but pretty much had to since it was part of the package which was already SO expensive. Nusrat unfortunately does the same hairstyles on almost every bride imo, check their Instagram and you will know what I mean. My nikkah hair ended up looking acceptable but the curls got undone and frizzy and I ended up getting Amazingkreations help in getting it fixed since Christina was there to do my sisters hair. Reception hair I wasn’t too happy about and even the photographer ended up having a hard time with it as it wasn’t looking right in the photos. Anyways what’s done is done. But just thought I’d give everyone a heads up about the hair.
