This daycare chastised me for being a single full time working mother without transportation. They also don’t have any way to view the children in their classrooms outside of the infants. They don’t send pictures of the kids nor do they send the children back home with reports. And my daughter’s sippy cup was dirty, literally she was made a cup of water with these stains and dirty in it. They don’t give you a meal menu unless you ask for it. I use public transportation to get to and from the daycare which takes an hour to do so, I get off work at 5pm and my bus comes every 30 minutes, when I get off the first bus already runs, I’ve never been over 10 minutes late and informed them of my situation. They act as if it’s u unacceptable even if I understand, accept and am willing to pay late fees and explain numerous times my situation. They treat it as if I need to quit my job since I can’t change my schedule due to being in training.

I will not tolerate the fabricated reply by the Director to the mother of my child. The mother of my child stays in the medical center. She would drive almost 45-50 minutes each day with traffic to drop our daughter off and had to make the same drive back. Our daughter has autism and we really wanted her to find a structure facility for her to learn and play well with other kids and this was the only facility that was in good grace with the Early Reach Program she made the drive every morning. On 9/29 we noticed our daughter was running a low grade fever through out the night. She suffered from chronic ear infections in which we have now corrected the problem and she had successful surgery. No other symptoms was presented but the low grade fever in which medication was given for PAIN ONLY due to her history. We proceeded to speak with the nurse line before making sure everything was fine before dropping her off to school. The nurse insisted that everything was fine and to inform staff in which she did. I was on the phone during drop off hearing the conversation between Teresha and everything seemed fine at drop off besides our daughter doing her daily cry because she was yet not adjusted to the school. She exited the building without concern and left. While driving she stated she would have to call me back because while up the street to go get gas from a near by Walmart the school was calling her. The call ended. She called me back and informed me that the teacher called her and stated that our child could not stay because of the conversation she had with the teacher at drop off and according to the Director she could not stay with a fever. She had to turn back around(no temperature was checked) just word by mouth. She left a review of her encounter with the Director(please see review it’s a one star left 8 months ago in which now they have responded). According to the Texas Standards a fever is considered when temperature ranges from 100.5 or greater. Please refer to Google to research “Section 746.3601 - What type of illness would prohibit a child from attending the child-care center?” Our daughter always cried at drop off and had a hard time adjusting to the school. This particular day was like no other. Our daughter has always been a child if she is sick you wouldn’t even know unless she had a fever of 100.5 and greater because she is so active and bubbly. She has a smile worth a thousand words. She informed me that she was going off policy and that she could drop her off because they went based off Section 746.3601 in their handbook and I agreed. She took her to the emergency room immediately after the phone conversation with the Director and explained the situation to urgent care staff. Our daughter was checked out and by a medical licensed professional and she didn’t see the need not to send her back to school the same day. The damage was already done and the mother of my child didn’t feel comfortable with sending her back to the school in fear of retaliation. The Director reply back to her review was unprofessional, fabricated, and displeasing. Based off multiple reply’s you can clearly tell the type of people you are dealing with. I will always stand behind the mother of my child. She does a magnificent job with our daughter and to read that was very disheartening because I know it was not true. The mother of my child only does what’s best for our daughter and would never forsake her just to get “rest”. These attachments are proof since they fabricated their reply to the extreme. I hope Teresha see this because to be employed by a staff of Grandmas House that can fabricate you in their story…I wouldn’t want to work for them at ALL. All is well with my family our daughter is happy and healthy and in a new environment that welcomes her. Please never downplay the character of my family because I will always defend them. MY number ends in 8267. Teresha number ends in 3215. The school number ends in 3105. Now respond to this . The hours are weird but the date is there 9/29. Please see attachments.

I had an incident with the Director of the child care facility where my child DID attend. The Director attempted to unlawfully terminate my child due to me making a report against her. Director Sandra Deleon of Grandma's House is perceived by me to be petulant, combative, and patronizing. I have never encountered such until I met her. If you are a part of any government funding program, I highly suggest you look elsewhere. The lack of educational tone I perceived from her is disturbing. I was so close to pursuing legal action against her but received a call and requested my child be disenrolled from Grandmas House CCC in fear of retaliation. I don’t believe she should be the Director of the facility because of the lack of comprehension and unintelligent mind frame she has. Something tells me that position only benefited her because of the relationship she has with the owner. I am pleased that I don’t have to never ask a question and get the sarcasm, vague, and disrespectful responses that was given on many occasions when my child attended Grandmas House. Edit Her father responded and left some screenshots and ooooo it looks like y’all was caught in some lies don’t edit that review I took a screenshot of it! So if I was in the parking lot how come the call log stated Ms. Teresha called me? I was in the parking lot for 30 minutes before I came “back” but yet you came outside immediately after you was informed about the “fever”, in which it would of been at drop off wouldn’t you have told me to come in and get my child? Also if my child was so “ill” why was I informed to send her back to school immediately that same day by a doctor? (Some things are not adding up) We spoke over the phone Ms. Sandra and your tone is speaking through your reply. Unprofessional, combative, and once again patronizing add a little razzle dazzle and came up with un true statements. Learn something from this I’m not the parent to play with try it with somebody else. Parents if she can lie on me imagine what she could say about you! Beware! Didn’t think her father would come with receipts and back me up! I said what I said! Oh I sent her a email y’all! Don’t forget to look at the receipts her father left! Now let me go back to taking care of my wonderful kiddo!

Director Ms. Sandra is the best possible. Assistant Director Ms Audra is one of the most helpful people that I've met in my life. Ms Erica is by far the best teacher there. My son has been going to this school since he was 6 months old, now he is 3 and I will most definitely be keeping him there for the head start program. My daughter also attends during the vacation/summer months. She enjoys her time there. The turn around of teacher are low, because they provide actual PTO for their teacher (this is why you will continue to pay through closed days). I do not mind this at all, because I know the teachers are not overwhelmed with those worries. Hands down, pick here.
