I was initially interested in working with the studio, but as a woman, that phone call was a complete turn-off. I was spoken over, dismissed, and treated to an unnecessary lecture filled with mansplaining. Instead of simply addressing my very reasonable request to meet the person they were recommending, this man aggressively tried to sell me something I hadn’t even seen yet. Let’s be clear: it’s just basic professionalism to meet the person you’re expected to invest in, especially when it comes to something as personal and meaningful as my art. I don’t do forced decisions or rushed partnerships. My creativity deserves the same respect and appreciation as the inspiration it comes from—end of story. The call was unprofessional, unnecessarily aggressive, and could’ve gone in a much better direction. Maybe I came across as too hard to manipulate, and let’s be real, when you’re hard to manipulate, some people decide you’re not worth their time. If that’s the case, I’ll gladly take the door because I refuse to settle for anything less than respect and integrity in my creative process. *UPDATE* This man’s dismissive response to my review says everything about how he treated me. During our initial call, he didn’t approach me as someone eager to grow or offer any real guidance to help me improve. Instead, he focused on putting me down, talking over me, and trying to sell me something I hadn’t even seen yet. His entire approach lacked professionalism and respect. My review clearly struck a nerve—if it didn’t, he wouldn’t have replied. No accolades excuse poor behavior, and he’s far from the only person I could work with. I’m grateful to have seen his true colors before wasting my time or money. I deserve respect, professionalism, and genuine support, not ego and condescension disguised as expertise.

Had a great time… Studio 713 - Houston is tucked away and “secure”… right off the freeway. This studio had several suites, privacy and kitchenette(s) with the tea and coffee your heart desires, and drug to store your food. There are several little spots to walk to around the corner: a bodega, a cafe, club, a couple of restaurants. If you need to fuel up, know that gas stations are about 2 - 3 miles away. We had rentals. This would be important, if we stayed more than a few days. My client enjoyed working with Geo, the engineer. Geo has a great ear for dynamics and he is a great listener. Best recording studio in Houston by far. From the equipment to the engineers to the atmosphere to the HUGE names that come through here; this place is part of music history. To a musician or artist, its the 8th wonder of the world

I'm pretty stoked to be a student at at 713Studios. Shout out to RRFEDU for being my plug in the progress of fingind the right resources. As a novice I am having a blast with the other interns. It's amazing to see these geniuses at work. I honestly came in just to get a feel for things. Watching others at work on their musical crafts; has pushed my personal desires outside of the studio to evolve as artist. The consequence is truly a gift. I've been immediately welcomed by the staff and interns. It's great to be around so much humbleness. I've been able to record a new song, share ideas with other artist. Nothing but props to Ricky, for being very detailed in organizing his alumnis and a great organization.
